Introduction to the Open Applications Group (OAGi)
The Open
Applications Group Inc. (the OAGi) is organized (i) to promote business process
interoperability for both inter & intra enterprise business processes and (ii)
to encourage the creation of and/or create and endorse one or more standards to
assist organizations in achieving connectivity and multiple-source integration
of inter & intra enterprise business processes.
The Open Applications Group was formed in late 1994 as the first post-EDI
organization focusing on improving the state of application integration.
The
OAGi’s unique, technology neutral approach to building the OAGIS
standard ensures that both end-users and solution providers have the most robust
XML standard in the world that can be deployed using ebXML, Web Services, or the
Framework of their choice. The OAGIS
XML Standard is also completely Royalty-Free so you can be assured of easy and
cost-effective use.
OAGIS
– Your CANONICAL MODEL for Integration
OAGIS is the first and only business language broad enough and rich enough to
create a Canonical Model for application integration for organizations. This
Canonical Model provides the common business language that organizations can use
to solve the “N Squared” integration problem.
The OAGIS
XML solution is also the only solution architected to support your integration
needs both outside the enterprise and inside the enterprise. The Open
Applications Group Members have been working on this solution for over 8 years
to provide a very rich and extensible set of process
definitions and XML message definitions to enable you to make this happen.
