Open Applications Group Working Groups Page

Welcome to the OAGi Working Groups page. The best way to engage with OAGi is to participate and/or lead a Working Group or one of our Councils.

If you are interested in joining any of these Working Groups, or in starting a new Working Group, please write to us here.

OAGi has a specific, repeatable development process that all of these Working Groups follow. It contains four phases:

  1. Project Definition

  2. Construction

  3. Review and Approval

  4. Publication

Working Groups by Council

High Tech Council

High Tech Warehouse and Transportation Management Working Group - The High Tech Warehouse and Transportation Management Working Group has completed their Construction Phase work. The content is being merged into the base in preparation for Release 9.5 Public Review. They next plan to write an Implementation Guide and will be writing a new Project Definition.

OAGi High Tech Quote to Order - This Working Group is planned to begin in 2010.

Chemical Industry Council

Chem eStandards WGResponsible for maintaining the Chem eStandards.

Metals Council

Order to Cash, Procure to Pay – This Working Group is doing a gap analysis on the current OAGIS Standard against the Metals Industries business requirements.

Partner Council

Warranty WG – This WG is close to finalizing their work for inclusion into OAGIS Release 9.5. It is currently in the Construction Phase at this time.

Architecture Council

Quality Assurance Working Group – This is a standing Working Group who reviews all Working Group deliverables. This is the key WG that ensures consistency across of of the OAGIS standard.

Web Services, SOA, REST WG – This Working Group is planned to start in 2010

Business Process WG – This Working Group is planned to begin in 2010

OAGIS Release 10 Working Group - The OAGIS Release 10 Working Group meets every Friday from 9 AM to 12 Noon Eastern Standard Time. They are currently reviewing all of the OAGIS Nouns as a group and renaming or remodeling them according to the CCTS 3.0 Data Modeling Methodology standard just released by UN/CEFACT.

They have also formed two sub-groups, one for manufacturing and one for financials to dig deeper into each function.
