Current Technical Activities

Warehouse and Transportation Working Group

Our Warehouse and Transportation Working Group has been active since last fall. This Working Group is our largest and most active, with over 20 members.

They are taking a comprehensive look at the base business processes for logistics and are closely examining 5 models:

Direct Ship

Standard VMI (Customer Operated Hub)

Standard VMI (Outsourced, Customer Agent)

Dynamic VMI (Supplier Operated Hub)

Dynamic VMI (Outsourced, Supplier Agent)

We are planning to include this work in OAGIS Release 9.5, which is scheduled for the second half of 2010.

Current Partner Activities

The High Tech Council practices the principle of collaborating with industry groups in the High Tech Industry because we believe that we can do a better job for the industry by partnering with high quality business associations.

This partnering broadens our perspective and increase the quality of the requirements we obtain for input to the standards activities.

Our agreements include:

EDIFICE

CompTia

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

We are communicating with a new initiative in Asia and hope to connect with that organization as well.

Completed Technical Work includes:

1) Order to Cash / Procure to Pay

Our first Working Group focused on the Order to Cash and Procure to Pay business processes and was delivered in August, 2008. It was included in OAGIS Release 9.3.

2) Collaborative Forecasting

We completed our work to support the Collaborative Forecasting business process in early 2009. This work was delivered in OAGIS release 9.4.
